Bhaskar Lahiri
Bhaskar Lahiri, born in 1961 in Howrah, is a Kolkata-based artist whose work reflects a deep engagement with Indian philosophy, history, religion, folk culture, and the grandeur of ancient civilizations. A graduate of the Indian College of Art & Draftsmanship and the College of Visual Arts, Kolkata, he has exhibited widely across India, with shows at the Academy of Fine Arts (Kolkata), Birla Academy, Jehangir Art Gallery, and Lalit Kala Akademi. His honours include the Senior Artist Award (Academy of Fine Arts, 2009), Drawing Award (Birla Academy, 2008), and the Camel Art Teacher Award (2002).
