Born in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Vivek Kumar Sahani is a contemporary visual artist whose work bridges rural memory and urban transformation. He completed his BFA (2020) and MFA (2022) in Painting from the College of Art, New Delhi, and has been featured in prestigious exhibitions including the 64th National Exhibition of Lalit Kala Akademi, the 105th Kala Mela 2.0 in Chandigarh, and the 132nd All India Annual Art Exhibition (Bombay Art Society, 2024), where he received a Bronze Medal and Cash Prize. His works have also been recognized by the State Lalit Kala Academy (Lucknow), Art Society of India (Mumbai), and All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (New Delhi). Sahani has participated in both Junior and Senior Artist Camps organized by AIFACS and has served as a guest teacher at the College of Art, New Delhi.

Through watercolor, ink, acrylic, and mixed media, my works evoke nostalgia, address environmental and cultural loss, and invite viewers to consider our role in preserving the delicate balance between nature and civilization."
