Sushma Jain
Born in Ujjain in 1957, Dr. Jain is an award-winning painter, academician and Principal of Shubhankan Fine Arts College. With a Ph.D. in Drawing from Devi Ahilya University, Indore, she has exhibited at prestigious platforms such as All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS) Gallery, Delhi and Lalit Kala Akademi among others, and been honoured with prestigious awards. Her work emerges from a deep engagement with nature, ritual and personal memory. “A Kriti is not just an idea—it is a lived process”, she reflects. Her compositions resonate with rhythm, spiritual calm and an evolving complexity that rewards every glance.
