Ashis mondal
Ashis grew up in Kolkata and trained at the Indian College of Arts & Draftsmanship. Over more than two decades, he has explored how emotion can take shape through brushstrokes, and how form can carry feeling. His work blends conceptual ideas with cubist structures, but it’s never about technique alone; it’s about capturing something that feels alive. “The horse,” he says, “is more than an animal. It carries a force, a rhythm that mirrors the human journey – untamed, restless, yet somehow contained.”
