Shadab Kazi, born in September 1999 in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, is a painter whose practice blends memory, emotion, and symbolism. A graduate of Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai, and currently pursuing a Master’s in Portraiture Painting there, Kazi has exhibited in notable venues including Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai; Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi; and internationally at Inviting the Future in Moscow. His awards include the P.A. Dhond Award for Best Watercolour Landscape (2022), Late Shri Baburao Jagtap Award from The Bombay Art Society (2023), and multiple Camlin Awards at Sir JJ School of Art.

Landscapes form the emotional foundation of my work, often inhabited by children, cats, and everyday objects like toys or books. Using oil’s softness and depth, I weave colours and shapes into a space where memory feels alive, inviting viewers to reconnect with their own inner child."
